![]() Articles in MSDN indicates that all I need to do is to use WAVE_FORMAT_DOLBY_AC3_SPDIF in my WAVEFORMATEX wFormatTag, and set nChannels to 2. I can't solve the problem after padding the AC3 sync frame with 0s in the buffer, and setting the primary buffer format with the secondary buffer format. I am using Media Player 11 (10?) in Vista to play my AC3 file. The light did not blink when I am playing my secondary sound buffer. The dolby decoder on the headset has a light that blinks if it is playing an AC3 stream. I am using a Triton AX360 digital headphones. I tried filling a DirectSound secondary buffer with AC3 stream, stream it through SPDIF, and my headphone outputs noise for the entire buffer duration.
